Worship at Grace

cantercross_trans_95x95Our worship of God in Jesus Christ lies the core of our life together. Indeed, we gather together before God knowing that we are shaped prayer by prayer, day by day, season by season, as we worship.

If you visit Grace, you will find that we read a good bit of the Bible every week, and we hear a sermon in response to the scriptures. We profess, in the creeds we say together, the faith which we share with Christians over many centuries. We pray for the needs of all people, here in Paris and all over the world, and we celebrate the joys and blessings of life. We confess our sins before God, and are reminded of his boundless forgiveness.

All of these things point us to the heart of our worship as Episcopalians: the Eucharist, or Holy Communion. We experience the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in this ancient sharing of bread and wine, which we celebrate each Sunday.

Our goal at Grace is make our worship simple and holy, lively and engaging. We invite you to join us, whereever you may be along your own journey of faith.

Prayer of the Week

O God, who before the passion of your only-begotten Son revealed his glory upon the holy mountain: Grant to us that we, beholding by faith the light of his countenance, may be strengthened to bear our cross, and be changed into his likeness from glory to glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
