The Historic Christian |
Beginning January 2008, we will introduce a Eucharist on certain weekdays at noon. The services are simple: no music, a very short sermon, and Holy Communion. In addition, during the service we will set aside a few moments for Holy Unction, a time where people are invited to the altar rail for prayers for healing, the laying on of hands, and anointing with oil. The service should last about 30 minutes, so that those of you on lunch breaks will have time to grab a bite to eat before returning to work.
There will be three of these services in January: one on Thursday, Jan. 3, a second one on Wednesday, Jan. 16, and the third one on Wednesday, Jan. 30, all at noon. Our goal is to ultimately offer the service every Wednesday.
